2026-27 School Year Storm Recovery Update

Portage Township Schools will not need to add make-up days to the 2026–27 school calendar. Additional instructional minutes built into the school year will be used to account for the days missed due to the August 11 storm.

All PTS schools receive America’s Healthiest Schools award

National children’s health organization Alliance for a Healthier Generation unveiled its 2026 list of America’s Healthiest Schools, celebrating over 1,300 K-12 schools nationwide for their commitment to advancing whole child health, including each school within Portage Township Schools. PTS was awarded in the Improving Nutrition & Food Access category.

Our faculty and staff diligently prepare to ensure that we provide a safe and supportive atmosphere conducive to learning. Whether your child is returning for another year or joining us for the first time, we are committed to making this journey enriching, rewarding, and fun for everyone.  Open communication between home and school is not just important, it's essential for our students' success.
