Our School

Central Elementary

Good afternoon Central family.  This is Mr. Hamacher, principal at Central, with a couple of important announcements.  First, the choir concert that was scheduled for tonight is cancelled.  It will be re-scheduled for a later date.  We will let you know when we have that date finalized.  Today’s holiday classroom parties will be rescheduled for tomorrow.  Grades 3-5 will have their parties from 10-11am.  Grades K-2 will have their parties from 12:50-1:50pm.   Please remember only healthy snacks that meet wellness guidelines.  Festivities will conclude in time for our Sing Along.  Tomorrow is also a pajamas for $1 fundraiser, where  students can wear pajamas to and at school for $1.  If they participate and wear pajamas, they simply give $1 to their homeroom teacher in the morning.

Parents, Due to the school closure today, we are cramming a lot of things into one day tomorrow out of necessity.  Thus, we are asking that parents help us by leaving at the conclusion of their child’s classroom party.  Due to the size of our student body (531 students), we have to limit our Sing Along to students and school staff only.  Please do not take this as an insult or that you are not welcome here at CENTRAL.

The Elf Hunt that was cancelled last week has been re-scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 5, from 5:30-7pm.

Regarding E-Learning, please turn in E Learning day #1 parent verification form for Thursday, December 15 and return it to your child’s homeroom teacher by tomorrow if you haven’t done so already.  You may have had them sent home with your child last week.  If not, you may print them off online.  We would prefer to use the actual verification form.  However, you may hand write a note if you cannot access an official form.  A second parent verification form will be required for today’s E learning day.  Please turn that one in when we return to school after holiday break, by Friday, January 6.

Last but not least, tomorrow is our last school day before our holiday break.  We return to school on Wednesday, January 4.

Have a good night.  Stay warm and safe!  Happy holidays!
